PDB distance

This Page is for Explanation of Application "PDB distance" (Apple App Store).

A Utility App for Handling PDB (Protein Data Bank) coordinate data, to show 2D distance calculation.

This App can show:

1. 2D distance Map of alpha-Carbon vs alpha-Carbon inside of Protein.

2. Detailed distance calculation of Inside Protein

3. Distance between Ligand atom and Protein; (contact point of Ligand atom)

(how to use)

Input the target data:

1. Prepare PDB coordinate data file (in Text format, with extension ".pdb")

2. Open the PDB file, select "ATOM" and "HETATM" lines in the file.

3. Copy them and Paste them in the App

Show the results:

4. After input the PDB data, tap "Process" button to process data

5.  Choose menu to show results

(with Results)

1.  you can see structural pattern of protein;  Comparison of 2D map will let you know the proteins are of same group or not.

2. when you want to know the contact point of target atom, you can get it.
